Nurture Me Birth Services
I had no idea I would have a passion for serving mothers until after my first birth. I was at the birth center where I’d had my little boy about 7 weeks before and realized there was another mom in the birth center very close to having her baby. I almost couldn’t stand it that I couldn’t go encourage her or rub her back! And believe me, I considered asking! This was the first time I realized that all the learning I had so enjoyed during my pregnancy might actually be a passion. A year later, my doula training only confirmed my thoughts. My passion today is to help moms have the healthiest and best birth experience possible for their situation. I love to educate a mom, teach her and her partner how to educate and advocate for themselves, and then be right by her side during her labor and birth with strong hands and a calm heart!
I am a Registered Nurse, Birth Doula, and Childbirth Educator with Nurture Me Birth Services. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. I was trained by Lamaze International and am a Certified Childbirth Educator. I am also trained and certified as a Birth Doula through DONA International. I also completed the Texas DSHS Trained Breastfeeding Educator program.
I am passionate about equipping mothers with education during pregnancy to promote empowering birth experiences. I was raised in Midland, Texas, moved away for other adventures, and now live in Midland with my husband, Reed, and four precious children.
